What I know about Starfield.

Hello everyone I have information regarding Starfield that I think you might find interesting. First off, English is not my first language, so I apologize for any grammar mistakes before I start. The reason I am choosing to release this information is because of the amount of leaks that have happened in the past few years. Every single one of the leaks you seen have all been completely fake. I know somebody who works in the company who got the information from somewhere else, so if what I say is vague and unclear I'm sorry. I will not provide proof because I don't have any because I don't work at Bethesda, and the last thing I want to do risk my friends career just for the sake of me leaking this info online. They love the job they have and told me these details in faith so I want to keep this as far way from them as possible. All I know is some storyline and gameplay details. I hid all the spoilers so feel free to scroll down if your interested in gameplay details.

. Starfield will take place over 300 years in the future in the Trappist-1 system. The main planet you will be doing most of your stuff on is a terraformed Trappist-1 planet renamed "Astra". I'm not sure which planet it is, but it was very similar to earth and had alien life before it got terraformed. Starfield is a very realistic in it's take on Sci Fi even if they have to make it compatible with fun gameplay. The map is much bigger than any other recent Bethesda game. It's nowhere near as big as Daggerfall but it's much more comparable to that than Skyrim. Procedural generation was used to make all the planets much larger so that vehicles become much of a useful tool and not a gimmick. Astra has realistic, large, and diverse alien biomes that you can explore.

. The game will feature four different human races you can play as, sorry no playable aliens. Each race has it's own stat bonuses and weaknesses like elder scrolls. You can play as regular humans which might be called something else other human, I don't know. There are Martians which are humans that have evolved to live on Mars, who are tall, lanky, orange skinned, but still intelligent. There's androids that live alongside the biological races but that's all I know about them. Then there's Ape Men which are genetically engineered race using chimpanzee and human DNA. They look a lot like the chimps from new planet of the apes movies but with more physical features similar to humans. A lot of them live in violent, patriarchal, nomadic tribes outside of regular society. There are aliens in the game but they are very "different" and play a big role in the main quest.

. The main quest will be largely be about first contact with intelligent aliens, exploration, and about the shadowy organization known as HAF. I have no idea what HAF stand for, but I do know they play a huge role in the game and are largely the reason things are the way they are. They are a secret futurist organization that is dedicated to progressing humanity forward by using any means necessary. They see things like funding and conducting illegal and inhumane experiments, assassinating leakers and those that halt their progress all for the "greater good". But all of the technological advancements that people benefit from a because of the HAF. The aliens you interact with are thought to not exist at first but are shown to extremely hostile when you meet them. I don't have any details on them or know what they are called, but I do know that you team up with them to fight a much bigger threat.

. The game will have three sort of "guilds" or organizations which are separate storylines from the main quests. Starfield will also have smaller guilds you can join that are mostly radiant quests, like bounty hunters or space explorers.

. The gameplay in Starfield will very similar to Fallout 4 only a little bit more refined. There are survival esque elements in the game such as temperature, pressure, and oxygen on planets other than Astra, as well as your ship fuel. The leveling system is much like Skyrim where if you do stuff you get better at it. There are also stats you choose at the beginning of the game but the system is still fluid so you wont stuck playing a character that specializes in one or two things. You get a main capital ship that you can heavily customize, upgrade, store your vehicles in, and interact with NPCs that want to join you on your journey.

You get 2 different kinds of vehicles which are "Lander crafts" and "Driver crafts", landers are used to get from planet to wherever so long as it's in space, drivers are just for planetary exploration.

From what I heard there is no space magic or anything like as they wanted to be realistic and the implants system already acts like a sort of magic system already. There is also cybernetic implants or enhancements you can get that increase your stats, give you a perk, and powers you can use for a short amount of time, like slow down time or increase melee damage or something like that. You can also genetically engineer your character to have animal traits or give them cosmetic items like real cat ears, which I thought was amusing.

The settlement building system from Fallout 4 returned but is upgraded and utilized much more. You can build entire colonies on dead planets and use them extract useful scientific data, or resources.

From what I heard the game was supposed be a next gen title and come out late 2020 but I'm not so sure now with all the stuff going with the virus and the consoles. If there is no game this year (which there probably wont be), I do think there will be more information this year. I'm not a fortune teller, I'm just telling you what I know.
