Main Details
- SEGA is developing a new next generation console in secret. Whether it gets released or not depends on the success of the SEGA Genesis Mini. If it sells well, SEGA will move forward with their plan to return to the console business for the first time in over 20 years. All of this of course would involve moving their IPs (Yakuza for example) from Xbox/Playstation/Nintendo/PC to the new SEGA console.
Additional details
- SEGA wants to surprise everyone at E3 2020 if the Genesis Mini exceeds expectations.
- One of the main advertisements for the new console that SEGA is thinking about should it go forward is "SEGA does what Sony don't". (SEGA still remembers what happened in 2001)
- SEGA would attempt to get an endorsement for the console from President Trump himself, who also endorsed the Genesis.
- Its not going to be called the Dreamcast 2.
Other Details
- Plans for developing a Saturn or Dreamcast Mini alongside the new console also depends on the success of the Genesis Mini.
- The Sega Channel online service would be revived as apart of this move.
