Ok hear this: A firmware focused in Direct will be announced tomorrow set to be live this January 6. They'll try to convince everyone that it's just about firmware, but here's the full direct:
-Switch v10.0 -Completely new online structure (that's the reason of the one hour inaccessible network services, this will allow to play in any NAT type network to any first party online game, allowing to use any phone as a router to play online everywhere), they say that this aren't the only news about this new online structure, but they will talk about later in the direct, the only thing they say is that they're really grateful with a "friend company" for making this real. -eShop revamped -New pfp icons (Xenoblade, Fire Emblem, Astral Chain, Luigis Mansion). -Folders -"Invite to play" function finally useful in every first party (and some unrevealed third party) games. -UI completely redesigned, more elegant, little customizable (themes and music, earned only through gold points). —A few game announcements appear, including: - Metro Redux -Mass Effect Trilogy HD -The Sims 4 -Apex Legends -Star Wars Jedi Academy, The Force Awakens, and more details about Lego Skywalker Saga -A new WarioWare compilation game in a similar way to Mario Party The Top 100 -Mario Maker 2 will get more items, intending to the player to create "mario kart 2D" levels, along with The Legend of Zelda items and environments. -Hollow Knight Silksong gets a release date, April 20. -1,2 Switch will get more content (69 minigames) as paid DLC, i can only remember a minigame about making a squirrel to release its nut, free for current owners, base game will become free. —Virtuous, Saber Interactive and Panic Button share a moment and talk about how much they like to work on Switch, to make impossible challenges become true, they end up talking about the current projects they're working on, expected to release between 2020 and 2022, including: The Outer Worlds, Borderlands The Handsome Collection and Borderlands 3, Dark Souls II and III, Sekiro Shadows Die Twice, No Man's Sky, Diablo IV and 3 more unrevealed projects. —Ryozo Tsujimoto appears, he says that he wants to thank to everyone who supported the Monster Hunter franchise while it was available on 3DS,for the support everyone gave to Generations Ultimate, and he wants to apologize because due to development limitations, they couldn't deliver World to Switch. Then he says that he wants to make some announcements, starting with: -Monster Hunter Stories will be releasing on Switch, with all the monsties released in the past. Also, Monster Hunter Stories 2 is currently on development. -Gameplay of Monster Hunter NeXT, the new installment of the series, exclusive for Switch, completely made from scratch, it has some kind of cell shading artistic design that looks amazing, and has almost all the QoL improvements introduced in World (completely open world, no loading screens, Monster zone wars, organic movement of the player. Set to release April 20.
—Doug Bowser says that he hopes everyone is enjoying what they have shown, but he says that that's not everything, he has some important news and he wants to call a really good friend to reveal them. Phil Spencer appears, and start talking about how they think that relationships between gaming companies benefits the players, how they plan to end the "console war", and how good they feel working with Nintendo, he talks about xCloud, and Xbox Live, he says they will be adding xCloud and integrating XLive to Switch as a service integrated on the new built in Nintendo Switch Online. Finally he shows his Switch to the camera, he turns it on, and speak about how much he enjoys to play his favorite games on it, show how cool the new UI is, covering with his finger a folder called "Nintensoft <3", somehow he "accidentally" opens it, revealing inside the Master Chief Collection, Fable Collection, Sunset Overdrive and... BANJO REDOOIE. He ends up his presentation telling us that as part of the Xbox Services being integrated to Switch, a complete Achievements structure is on the way.
-A lot of new info about Animal Crossing New Horizons is revealed, the most important stuff is that the froggy chair is returning, and they end saying that they're proud to announce a collaboration with Untitled Goose Game. The Direct ends with a video compiling all the awards from the last year. -No info about Bayonetta. -No info about Metroid -No info about NMH And suddenly... Screen goes black for a while and you can only hear someone whispering: "unlimited power", "unlimited power". Pikachu and Pichu are running away from a flying Shadow, the shadow starts throwing some lightings to them, eventually, the lightning strikes them, the camera focus the face of the shadow, red eyes appear, the shadow starts to fade while he still attacking Pikachu and Pichu, leaving a man in a hood, Pikachu and Pichu fall and again you hear "UNLIMITED POOOOWER": Palpatine gets announced as the final DLC Fighter for Smash.
