- Next State of Play presentation occurring on the 27th of this month
- PS5 will be revealed at a PlayStation Meeting that will be held on January 22
- Ghosts of Tsushima, Death Stranding, and FFVII Remake are cross-gen titles for the PS5 and will be launch titles for the system
- A new IP is in development by SIE Japan Studio and is also a PS5 launch title
- New IPs from Santa Monica Studio, London Studio, Naughty Dog and Insomniac Games are also in development
- Last of Us Part 2 will be coming to the PS5 in early 2021 as a remastered port
- A new WipEout game and Ape Escape game are also in development, coming to PS5 in 2021
- Sony will come back to E3 in 2020 and will be holding a press conference and their own answer to Nintendo's Treehouse
- PS5 will release on October 23, 2020, priced at $499 USD
