Thoughts on Gta 5 being released on Xbox game pass?

Ik I very well might be taking this out of proportion however I do see this having connection to Gta 6.

I am fully aware the game is now over 6 years old and that may be a contributing factor, but I am struggling to see why R* would do this. We all know that love revenue so why make a game free that has has been consistently pulling figures?

I really believe that this is an attempt by R* to hit a certain audience of us players who have ceased playing the game, in order to bring us back to get the hype train back on the rails. Again I may very well be blowing this out of proportion however I just don’t see any other inclination as to why they would do this?

Please do debate I would love to hear everyone’s opinions.
