Silent Hill Rumors (EXPLANATION)

Hey guys,

Recently there was a rumor going around that Kojima and Konami might be partnering on Silent Hills again and I posted a comment saying I've heard Sony and Konami meeting to talk about the future of the franchise. Ever since I've gotten a few people messaging me asking me what I know about this.

Well after a few people contacted me I decided to make a post, even though I don't know much. Sony and Konami had a meeting about Silent Hill, they talked and that was that. The contents of the meeting were allegedly pretty confidential and only high tier staff knew about this.

That's about it on that front, but I also stated that I knew a rumor about another potential Silent Hill game and I was asked to share details about that. Before going into the details I have to say, I myself do not believe it's legit, I've tried to disprove this many times, but simply couldn't because Konami's really slow release schedule make this thing really hard to confirm fake, so here we go.

Details I've heard about this title go as follows:

The game started development late 2017, early 2018. The studio working on it is an American studio hand picked by Konami. The story itself was described to me as a redo of Silent Hill Homecoming.

You play as a Veteran of a fictional war that has just ended in the games timeline and you're going back home which of course leads him through Silent Hill. The MC ends up exiting at a bus stop in Silent Hill which at this point in the game is completely normal and checks himself into a motel and after going to bed for the night awakens to find the town overrun with fog and the game actually begins.

I wasn't told the full extent of the story just a few more details:

First one is that the main character will have a dog helping him out throughout the entire game, it was described to me like Haunted Ground, but the MC can fight alongside the dog.

Unlike Homecoming the town will harvest the MCs war memories and turn them into monsters you have to fight and of course the game was going to have it's own version of pyramid head which was impossible to kill unless you did a few of the side activities and it was a repressed memory from the war which was going to be a massive plot twist which was not revealed to me.

Now I believe this rumor is completely fake for a few reasons, first one was because it was said to me that the game was going to launch on PS4 and Xbox One and however that still being possible, I think if a possible new SH game was going to happen it's going to be next gen.

Also this info came from someone claiming to be a tester, which I always have trouble believing.

Even though I believe these rumors are fake myself, I wanted to share them in case they turn out to be legit and of course to keep the flame lit for the SH fan base, cause even if this turns out to be fake, I feel like another SH game is definitely on it's way.
