The Division 2 Alpha Test info dump

Didnt know where else to post this.

The Division 2 alpha "leaks":

Some things that were default in 1, are now have to be unlocked. But its very easily and fast. I played a few hours of the Alpha and almost have unlocked everything. These unlockables consist of: -Extra Xp from accolades -Extra grenade/armor plate(new medkit)/inventory slots/stash slots -New weapon mods and such

Base stash is 140. With everything unlocked its 230. Inventory with everything unlocked i think goes around 150 slots? Im writing all this from memory sry. The island on the left is part of the map. Its for level27 to 30. West DZ is right above it. Loadouts are back, maximum 6. Side missions are well done, feel like main missions(but shorter) aka actual nicely done missions. When you pick up something it shows it on the bottom left corner of the screen, its very small and barely visible. That was a terrible decision imo. I really hope to change it. Lot of times i pick up stuff and have no idea what i just picked up. Division 1 did this better with showing it right above the looted box.

Lots of new materials, random events, control points you can take over and call AI support for(they actually fight, once they mounted a minigun and shot the shit out of the enemies.) PVP is now called "Conflict". Couldnt the NPC there. There are 3 Dark Zone areas, 1 East, 1 West and 1 South. In the Alpha you can enter the East DZ. There will be bounties, not sure whats those. New HVTs maybe? You can matchmake for Random Acivity, Random Main Mission, Random Bounty, Open world exploration, DZ and "Answer the Call" i guess its the call backup feature but you get Players instead of AI to help at control zones.

Clans are here, you can easily create or join one, with their own logos and stuff. Its offline but i think they will provide bonuses too like in Dedstiny. You can set a lot of different things for clan and their search preferences: -how often you play(daily, weekdays etc) -relaxed/focused/hardcore -pve/pvp/both -language -region

There are 4 enemy factions i know of: -1 the foam-tools True Sons you already know( havent encountered them yet i think, or the foam guys at least) -1 cleaner-like fire enemies with tanks on their back and such -1 "nomad" like enemies with shields and bows, they actually fun to fight because bows are silent and harder to spot them -1 poison gas enemies, i think they are called Hyenas Doubt there is more.

Healthsponginess so far is in a perfect spot. Shotguns feels amazing and powerful. But so do other guns. Mind that this is low level gameplay, we have to wait for the full game to see if they can keep this up for endgame or they gonna go Division1 route again and have everything just full of healthsponges with insane DMG output in the endgame. I like the new movements, agents move faster and more fluid through obstacles(parkour/climbing). I really hope they wont nerf this movement speed, it feels good. Combat against AI feels good, yes they die easier and feels easier but you die also easier, they have actual AI and flank and use their own gadgets on you. Feels refreshing and engaging compared to the boring and dumb AI in Destiny or Anthem. Really all they have to do is not go for huge healthsponges again like in Div1.

If you are in cover, you get accuracy buff. (might for LMGs only, thats where i noticed first, but it was VERY noticable) The 8 player is supposedly post-release free DLC, based on in game menu, which also tells you that you need to be Lvl30 and World Tier 5 for it, so World Tiers are back.

New enemy armor system is great. If you for example, shoot of the chest armor of the big guy, you can damage his HP directly with chest shots. You dont have to take down all the armor like in Div1, just destroy 1 part minimum and shoot there.

Gear: You can get brand gearset pieces pretty much from level 1. Gear mods are back, they can buff Skills, HP/ELE/Armor and guns(ie: critical damage) Crafting is back, you can craft gear and mods just like before.(kinda dont get the weapon mods part, they said that they will be all unlocked and fixed for all weapons?) You get a profiency cache every level up from lvl1.

There are 8 skills. Turret Seeker Mine Chem Launcher Hive Drone Shield Pulse Firefly (looks like a drone but with wings)

Skills also have multiple mod slots that you can equip mods to.

List of new guns or old guns but changed i found: -MPX is no longer exotic -AA12 is no longer exotic, also a beast -MDR no longer exotic -FAL is now full auto, feels great -M16A2 burst fire rifle(i wish we rather had a full auto A1 or A3 or a semi auto A2/A4) -AUG A3 assault rifle(full auto) -probably new pistols too, i havent paid much attention to those

M1A is now Rifle category. Which is the new "burst fire" category if its a semi auto, because its probably garbage then. Because the M1A has terrible accuracy bloom even after 1 shot, plus the accuracy by default is shit. For example, Dragunov which is in the Marksman Rifle(aka Sniper) category is way better for sustained fire, despite supposedly being a sniper. Basically if you were using it in Div1 but with way worse base accuracy. Burst fire M16 is nice and accurate but i hate burst-fire guns so thats all i can say about it, didnt really use it because of that.

If you have a long range scope on, you cant not-use it. ACOG you can switch between scope and shoulder. All marksman rifles come with a scope mode by default.

Appearance: Characters were RNG chars for the Alpha. No more jackets, or at least that appearance slot is gone. Every other one from 1 is back including patches and masks. New customization slots: Trophies, Glasses, Outfits, Poses. All default emotes from 1, plus Macarena dance.

Performance is far from optimal, i have a high-end PC and it cant hold stable 60fps everywhere on high. Nothing horrible, but i would definitely expect better from it, considering its pretty much the same as Division 1. Though this Alpha actually feels like an alpha, from visual and other bugs and bad object placements, mapping errors and such compared to Anthem Alpha which felt like a locked down buggy version of the complete game. Game looks like Div1 but summer, still very beautiful. There will be an actual photomode this time? There is an option in game settings for not leaving photomode when getting attacked.

So far an amazing improvement over Division 1. I dont doubt this will have more thing to do by base compared to 1, even with the Raid only coming post-release. RNG events while explore the city, bounties and other stuff we dont even know about. The Alphal lets you see 3 districts and 1 DZ district. The full game will have 13 district and 3 DZ districts. Havent seen the new gearsets, or even the specializations. I barely scracthed the surface and its huge. Anyone who said this gonna be a Dedstiny 2 is an idiot, because from the E3 gameplay alone you could tell they actually worked a lot on this and listened to the community in a lot of things, unlike Bungie who also sells you gamefixed for $60 and more. A lot of changes you see in the Div2 are all were highly requested and/or suggested by the community. Havent see a horse yet. Deers are in.

I just wish DMC5 released sooner so i would have more time between these 2 amazing games. Also Capcom, put in Vergil as playable ffs.
